Face Workouts are natural exercises to help relax your whole face and to bring a glow and elasticity back to the skin.
Face Workouts are a series of exercises using pressure techniques to help tone and define the face naturally. These can be as simple as pressing and holding on to pressure points with your fingertips or knuckles for 5 to 10 seconds to offer relief as a “mindful moment” to gain calm or a more intense exercises using knuckles in circular motions to avoid a negative habit like frowning or slowly gliding along an area to remove tension to either improve definition of the jawline or soften all too common trauma lines (the folds beside the mouth).
It’s essential to disperse fluid to help rid toxins plus maintain mobility in the face by breaking down knotty nodules of tension, for example, the jawline, this act allows for oxygenation to take place which improves blood circulation.
Face workouts aren’t just limited to time in the bathroom in front of a mirror and don’t always mean ‘touch’ as contortion exercises are a lot about ridding tension using extreme facial expressions such as pursing lips together as if to kiss, then circulating the mouth clockwise slowly up to 10 times, then repeating anti clockwise when its common to find one side of the face is more supple than the other. Awareness and focus on removing stiffness is key to feeling and seeing balance in the face. Ultimately, a face workout can be a great way to ensure time is set aside to zone out and relax. It’s a part of self-care which can be incorporated into a daily cleansing routine or longer self-care ritual, at the desk or in the back of a taxi as a speedy way to relieve tenseness.
